One of the biggest tournaments debuted by Riot Games has already started on the 13th of February. This exceptional tournament will continue until the 4th of March. 32 of the best teams in the world will battle it out at the Ginásio do Ibirapuera in São Paulo. It is something that you don’t want to miss as a Volarant fan and player. There will be intense competition and a lot of things to learn from masters of the game.

LOCK//IN will see every team from the Americas, Pacific, and EMEA leagues as well as from China! The team that has the victory at LOCK//IN will win their region an extra slot at Masters 2023.

Tournament Format
Riot games wanted to debut that will bring all Volarant community together in the most thrilling way possible and single a elimination format direction that they wanted to take. They have aimed to maximize the number of inter-region games at Locked in to add more excitement for the fans. That’s why they selected a random draw process that paired teams from different regions in the first round.
- EMEA vs PACIFIC – 5 match-ups
- AMERICAS vs PACIFIC – 5 match-ups
- AMERICAS vs EMEA – 4 match-ups
- CHINA vs AMERICAS – 1 match-up
- CHINA vs EMEA – 1 match-up
Second, the 16 match-ups were distributed across two sides of the single elimination bracket to maximize inter-regional matches for the first two rounds. For this event, the two sides of the bracket will be referenced as Alpha & Omega:

Finally, a random draw assigned each of the 32 teams a number from 1-10 that corresponded to their region and a placed team slot, to finalize the last bracket.
LOCK//IN will consist of three stages of the competition.
1- Alpha Matches – February 13 -19
2- Omega Matches – February 22 – 27
- Battles will continue until two teams remain and each match will be a Best-of-Three Round
3- Finals Stage
- The remaining four teams play the Semifinals and Finals until we have the champion of VCT
- Matches in this stage will be Best-of-Five Round.
